Core Engineer- JOB Description:

• Responsible to keep the dependability performance of network resources at optimum level by ensuring that network resource problems are detected and corrected according to agreed timing and standards set and to highlight network resource deficiencies and to some extent predict future degradations.
• To take full responsibility for configuration changes introduced to the network and to keep the resource HW / SW configurations and status under control.
• To act on relevant problems escalated from the front office surveillance (NOC) function so that resource problems are remedied or escalated to corresponding system support units.
• To contribute in the creation and improvements to procedures and routines within the department / group.
• Co-ordinate works with other operation work areas e.g. Front Office, Field Maintenance, Quality Coordinator, and core planning team
• Define NMS system set-up and authority administration for collection of NW surveillance alarms and dependability statistics data in co-operation with support systems engineers
• Responsible for authorisation and specification regarding utilisation of additional and specialised (custom) tools used
• Prepare and implement SW and HW configuration data changes and audits for network resources
• Ensure that dependability performance reporting provides adequate information i.e. root cause analysis, to enable appropriate service and / or network resource improvements.
• Handle, analyse impact, and plan for implementation of work request from customer (operator).
• Handle, analyse impact, and plan for implementation of change request from equipment supplier (e.g. software updates, patches).
• Escalate problem to backoffice in jakarta when necessary in accordance with time frame within Managed Services contract, and within guideline provided by NSN.
• Follow up on fault escalated to Jakarta until closure of the case.

• Perform preventive maintenance and routine activities such as system backup, health check etc on regular basis

Requirements as follows:
- Experience at least 1 year in MSS/ MGW (Switching), familiar with Nokia Switching is preferable
- D3 Polytechnic or S1 Electronics/ Telecommunication
- Willing to support MSS power maintenance task (Rectifier, Battery, Genset, AC, etc)

Main Responsibilities:

Support a team of 3G Network Planning Engineers and being responsible for providing pre-planning, network planning and pre-launch optimization guidelines

3G Network Planning Optimization Team Leader is responsible to optimize network condition and Traffic Management for Nokia Siemens Networks system for Telkomsel network implementation projects.
5 years experience in Telco (min 3 year in 3G Tecnology).
Nokia / Siemens Experience Mandatory.
GSM Exp. Required

At least 10 years experience in Telecom (5 years w/ 3G technology)

KEY TASKS
Tools usage and data update.
Manages and coordinates the TI process according to agreed project time schedule in region.

Manages and maintains TI equipment related fields in ePM reflecting the solution of the TSSR.

Ensures the correct usage of project tools (EPM) and the data content. Performs tool audits with TI-suppliers.
Tracks all TI-extra work related issues and reports those to regional PM.

Logistics related tasks
Owner of DOP process in strong cooperation with the logistics team. Oversees project/region/zone NSN equipment stock.
Responsible for the timely ordering of all TI equipment and site materials.

Implementation resource planning
Ensures TI resources are planned properly (quality and quantity) for region and zone. Provides demand plan for needed implementation teams (Installation, commissioning and integration). In region, ensures the model site documentation and supportive TI specifications are provided to SA and permitting staff. Provides needed support towards the authorities in permitting issues

Reporting and meeting responsibilities
Responsible for reporting of TI-site progress from "Site ready for Installation" milestone until the issuance of the Final Acceptance Certificate (including site installation, commissioning and integration).
Provides required progress reporting for customer needs.

Supports to regional PM to prepare / update roll-out schedule (ePM).
Supports regional PM regarding implementation Quality assurance and reporting. Participates in "daily" progress meeting with regional project team. Reports to regional project manager all equipment implementation deviations from the original planning, i.e. Extra works, delays, cancellations, etc...

Documentation
Owner of TI-documentation rollout within the zone/region.
Ensure document control and storage system set up and used properly.

REQUIREMENTS
Good Telecom Implementation skills and specially for NSN FlexiBTS and MW links.
