Vertical Markets present a great opportunity for both point equipment sales (IP, optics, MW, PBX, etc.) and more complex solutions involving a combination of products for CPG, ASG and EPG together with related services, be they product-attached services or value-added services such as design, integration, consulting, migration etc..
RESPONSIBILTIES
The role consists of managing the LSS (Local Sales Support) team in MEA for Vertical Markets including offer qualification, offer preparation and submission and the support of customers meetings in liaison with the sales team. The team consists of bid managers and solution architects who are located in 4 countries:
o Egypt for the main team
o Regional hubs in Algeria, South Africa and Saudi Arabia
o Interface with the region sales team, contribute to the opportunity qualification process and lead to the Offer Qualification Meeting.
o Manages Bids and Proposals team workload and allocate resources according to offer priorities.
o Aims to be self-sufficient in term of resource for managing Vertical Market bids in its region independently of the size of deal.
o Rely on customer unit Bids and Proposals team for carrier offers through a Service Level Agreement
o Contribute to the offer strategy, prepare and participate to the Offer Strategy Meetings.
o Prepare and lead Offer Approval Meetings.
o Insure compliancy with Offer Life Process and DoA.
o Recruit and manage the team members (bid manager and solution architects).
o Define and review individual performance objectives and training program.
o Coaches the team for competence development.
o Builds necessary reporting information, KPI\'s, statistics, win/loss information, utilization, etc. according to Enterprise and Verticals Group reporting rules.

THE ROLE:
The Senior Expert (Solution Architect) Leader / Manager is the technological right-arm of the MEA LSS Leader and is the coordinator of all Solution Architecture/Engineering activity within MEA. He assumes overall responsibility and takes ownership for the technological part (solution wise and not project wise) of the bids that are prepared by MEA LSS. Therefore, he/she has strong involvement in the coordination/supervision/coaching of the solution architects who are spread within MEA, whose main job description is below described. He/she may lead him/herself the solution design activity of some important key complex bids.
Key areas of responsibility and accountability are:
•Technical support to the Verticals Sales team (Sales Managers and Sales Engineers) (understanding customer requirements, elaboration of network architecture and associated solution, technical expertise)
•Contribution to the customer offer strategy,
•Design of network architectures matching customer requirements highlighting products and services capabilities,
•Minimizing solution overall cost of ownership,
•Anticipation of any interconnection issues and impact of the new network elements to be built with existing customer,
•Definition and description of the technical solutions being proposed including the configuration of equipment, evaluation of technical risks and understanding of engineering and technical support costs during the realization of the customer project,
•Coordination of internal and external parties providing a subset of the overall solution to ensure that the overall solution is complete.
•Interface with internal product groups and external 3rd parties to ensure that proper key features for the solution exist or are developed.
Your Qualifications and Experience:
Work Domain:
•Similar experience in a Managerial or Lead Sales Support and/or Large Project support is required.
•Knowledge/experience and successful track record of winning projects in one or several Verticals market Segments (Transport, Energy, Oil&Gas, Defense, Government, etc.) is required.
Technical:
•Capacity to design complex network architectures and good understanding of some of the key enabling technologies such as optical and microwave transport, Ethernet switching or IP routing,
•Capacity (and proven track record), to design complex network architecture involving the most common 3rd party technologies of the Verticals Markets: SCADA, CCTV, Access Controls, Alarm management, Clock, PAGA, UHF/VHF, TETRA, OSS/BSS, Message panels, etc.
•Experiences in some of - (IP, optics, MW, PBX, etc.) and more complex solutions involving a combination of products for CPG, ASG and EPG together with related services, be they product-attached services or value-added services such as design, integration, consulting, migration etc..
•Strong understanding of customers issues and needs,
•Capability to coordinate both internal entities and external 3rd party vendors
•Capability to understand and coordinate technical offers from other internal groups or external vendors,
•Deep understanding of overall customer deployment costs with respect of total cost of ownership
•Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills,
•Capability to understand commercial and financial aspects.

•Candidate should be willing to participate in various offer teams and has demonstrated ability to work in team, under timeline pressures to deliver high quality offer within required customer deadlines.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Vertical Markets present a great opportunity for both point equipment sales (IP, optics, MW, PBX, etc.) and more complex solutions involving a combination of products for CPG, ASG and EPG together with related services, be they product-attached services or value-added services such as design, integration, consulting, migration etc..
RESPONSIBILTIES
The role consists of managing the LSS (Local Sales Support) team in MEA for Vertical Markets including offer qualification, offer preparation and submission and the support of customers meetings in liaison with the sales team. The team consists of bid managers and solution architects who are located in 4 countries:
o Egypt for the main team
o Regional hubs in Algeria, South Africa and Saudi Arabia
o Interface with the region sales team, contribute to the opportunity qualification process and lead to the Offer Qualification Meeting.
o Manage Bids and Proposals team workload and allocate resources according to offer priorities.
o Aims to be self-sufficient in terms of resource for managing Vertical Market bids in its region independently of the size of deal.
o Rely on customer unit Bids and Proposals team for carrier offers through a Service Level Agreement
o Contribute to the offer strategy, prepare and participate to the Offer Strategy Meetings.
o Prepare and lead Offer Approval Meetings.
o Insure compliancy with Offer Life Process and DoA.
o Recruit and manage the team members (bid manager and solution architects).
o Define and review individual performance objectives and training program.
o Coach the team for competence development.
o Builds necessary reporting information, KPI\'s, statistics, win/loss information, utilization, etc. according to Enterprise and Verticals Group reporting rules.

THE ROLE:
The Senior Expert Solution Architect is the technological right-arm of the MEA LSS Leader and is the coordinator of all Solution Architecture/Engineering activity within MEA. He/She assumes overall responsibility and takes ownership for the technological part (solution wise and not project wise) of the bids that are prepared by MEA LSS. Therefore, he/she has strong involvement in the coordination/supervision/coaching of the solution architects who are spread within MEA, whose main job description is below described. He/she may lead him/herself the solution design activity of some important key complex bids.
Key areas of responsibility and accountability are:
Technical support to the Verticals Sales team (Sales Managers and Sales Engineers) (understanding customer requirements, elaboration of network architecture and associated solution, technical expertise).
Contribution to the customer offer strategy.
Design of network architectures matching customer requirements highlighting products and services capabilities.
Minimizing solution overall cost of ownership.
Anticipation of any interconnection issues and impact of the new network elements to be built with existing customer.
Definition and description of the technical solutions being proposed including the configuration of equipment, evaluation of technical risks and understanding of engineering and technical support costs during the realization of the customer project.
Coordination of internal and external parties providing a subset of the overall solution to ensure that the overall solution is complete.
Within its sector Vertical market solution responsibilties:
· Participation to the elaboration of generic solutions for the MEA area.
· Interface with the central corporate Verticals Solution and Marketing group to represent the local needs of the sector.
· Identify and leverage other RSS best in class solutions and evaluate if they can be introduced to the MEA region.
· Interface with internal product groups and external 3rd parties to ensure that proper key features for the solution exist or are developed.
Qualifications:
Work Domain:
· Similar Experience in Sales Support and/or Large Project support is required.
· Knowledge/experience and successful track record of winning projects in one or several Verticals market Segments (Transport, Energy, Oil&Gas, Defense, Government, etc.) is required.
Technical:
· Capacity to design complex network architectures and good understanding of some of the key enabling technologies such as optical and microwave transport, Ethernet switching or IP routing.
· Capacity (and proven track record), to design complex network architecture involving the most common 3rd party technologies of the Verticals Markets: SCADA, CCTV, Access Controls, Alarm management, Clock, PAGA, UHF/VHF, TETRA, OSS/BSS, Message panels, etc.
· Strong understanding of customers issues and needs.
· Capability to coordinate both internal entities and external 3rd party vendors.
· Capability to understand and coordinate technical offers from other internal groups or external vendors.
· Deep understanding of overall customer deployment costs with respect of total cost of ownership.
· Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
· Capability to understand commercial and financial aspects.

Responsibilities
•Interface with Customer technical staff.
•Install, upgrade and configure company products at customer sites.
•Inter-working with development centres and third parties.
•Work as part of the Centre Of Excellence team.
•Work as part of a team providing 24 x 7 support to Customers.
•Provision of remote and on-site support to Customers.
•Interface to support organisations that provide support for third party products.
•Responsible for building and maintaining excellent working relationship with Customers.
•Will write detailed status reports, on projects and support issues.
Deployment
•Performs deployment activities working independently or with minimal supervision, encompassing system design, upgrade plans, creation of technical product documentation, acceptance testing, installation, integration of software and customer guidance;
•Communicates and negotiates deployment activities with the customer on peer and management level;
•Writes methods of procedures;
•Reviews basic level methods of procedures;
•Undertakes basic integration of company Telco Products;
•Initiates product improvement recommendation based upon experiences in field;
•Make recommendations on product deployment documentation, based on field experience.
Key Skills, Competencies and qualifications
•Minimum Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent (any combination of education, training or experience evaluated to be the equivalent of a bachelor\'s degree) in Computer Science or related discipline.
•Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networks, and excellent skills designing, configuring and troubleshooting IP networks (LAN, VLAN, Routes, Switches, Load-Balancers). Cisco CCNA Certification would be a plus.
•Knowledge of standards and technologies related to mobile data services and knowledge of Internet standards and protocols.
•Deep knowledge of mobile VAS platforms and IT systems, especially MMS/WAP
•Working knowledge of UNIX including installing and configuring products to run on UNIX based systems, trouble-shooting applications running on UNIX, and scripting.
•Basic knowledge of SMS
•Knowledge of F5 load balancers.
•Understanding/experience of Telecommunications: GSM
•Knowledge of the following Operating Systems: HP-UX, Solaris, Linux
•Must possess excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
