You will be responsible to define, design, implement, enhance and test the system software and device drivers for the next generation Samsung mobile devices using Android platform.

- Act as owner of SW errors in CDMA S60 SW Programs; work closely with SW Test Lead and SW Integration Manager

• Development and maintenance of CDMA 1xRTT BSC call processing functions, including voice and data signaling message handling, traffic packet handling, RLP, RTP and GRE protocol processing, handoff control, and power control handling.

• Support for integration testing a debug with other software modules

1. General requirements

-Able to perform design, development, integration, testing, maintenance,troubleshooting, implementation experience in CDMA protocols and air interfaces is highly desirable.

-Must have strong background in embedded software design and development for wireless system on embedded processors.

2. Specific requirement

-Familiarity with data services, knowledge of protocols such as PPP, GRE, TCP/UDP and FTP desired.

-Experience with performance analysis, optimization, coverage and capacity of 1xEV-DO Release 0 and Revision A networks and/or 1xRTT Networks in various aspects ranging from RF and power control parameters to data services capabilities to QOS parameters.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and customize TR-069 client protocol software for CDMA Femtocell devices;
• Provide development environment for TR-069 client applications including SOAP skeleton code generation;
• Provide low-level debugging facilities to trace HTTP, SOAP and RPC flows;
• Analyze and integrate 3rd party software for SSL, TLS and STUN to ensure ACS connectivity;
• Develop interfaces with O&M blocks and high-level APIs;
• Write design documents, develop environment document, high-level API reference document.
Skills & Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities
• Provides significant technical leadership in a specific research or technology in S60/Symbian: technical communication point with the following entities: Qualcomm, the 3rd party software companies, co-development companies, and other S60 teams. Participate in internal and external scientific forum as needed.
• Provide technical expertise with Nokia\'s cross-functional teams during front-end planning including the chipset roadmap plans and S60/Symbian roadmap plans, carrier/requirements reviews and its locking down, estimations, proposals, and RFPs. Participate in the creation of S60/Symbian strategies and contribute to decisions on technology options.
• Project management of the domain areas. Solve critical technical questions/problems across a multiple system level. Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert. Verifies all S60/Symbian software architectures, designs, interfaces, APIs, naming conventions, and implementations adhere to the standards. Maintain good understanding of the dependencies and interfaces of the subsystems. Guides/leads S60 software development work and provides expert guidance for test planning and analysis in the own area. Monitors and guarantees that quality and performance levels are met
• Provides schedule feedback on dependencies, tasks, time durations, and resource levels. Verifies that testability, maintainability, and variability standards meet the S60/Symbian requirements and provides feedback on architecture, design, and implementation. Responsible for driving system level technical decisions to conclusion and resolving technical issues which are under debate
• Initiates and drives technical meetings with 3rd party software companies and/or Qualcomm as needed; coverage may include the agendas, actions, issues, and risks. Provides cross-functional status and escalates issues appropriately
• Represents and drives the system level improvements in own domain area within S60/Symbian and approve subsystem architecture level inspection. Solves critical systems/architectural questions/problems in the subject area in the S60/Symbian platform through out the system
• Investigates, specifies and documents the functionality and requirements, implementation requirements for the subsystems both internally and externally
• May lead prototype development in own area by implementing point solutions or applications on new non-stable environments
• Contributes to the architecture mgmt process and methods harmonization
• Follows and analyses the specific technologies and defines architectural views in related aspects and advises, guides internal and external engineering community in specific technology roadmap, standardization and contribute to industry relation work

Qualifications

• BS in relevant disciplines; MS preferred
• Typically 8-12 years Symbian/S60 software development and/or S60 systems/software architect experience
• Recognized expert in the relevant field (depth & breadth)
• Strong knowledge and experience of C/C++, Symbian/S60 architecture
• Software project management experience is highly desired
